The steps

Find it

  1. Every screen is in the menu on the left. Under CORE, tap Job Cards. On a phone, open the menu with the button at the top left first.
  2. Jobs lists every job. The Board tab shows them by stage, and Dispatch shows who is working where.

Open the job

  1. Tap New Job.
  2. Tap Customer and choose Umhlanga Health (Pty) Ltd.
  3. Tap Job title and type Server room air-con service. Under Work requested, tap What the customer asked for and type Annual service and filter change.
  4. Tap Create job card. The job is numbered and opens with no costs booked yet.

Scenario: the job needs a part from the storeroom

  1. In the list, tap Server room air-con service to open the job.
  2. Under Parts & materials, tap Add part.
  3. Tap Catalogue part and choose CAB-HDMI-2M — HDMI 2.1 Cable 2m, then tap Quantity and type 2.
  4. Tap Add part to put it on the job. Adding a part plans it; nothing has left the shelf yet.
  5. Scroll the parts table to the right and tap Issue from stock on the line. Now the stock moves, and its cost is on the job.

Scenario: the technician has finished, so bill it

  1. In the list, tap Server room air-con service to open the job again.
  2. Tap Add labour, then tap Technician and choose Lerato Mahlangu. Tap Hours and type 3.
  3. Tap Charge-out rate per hour and type 650, then Cost rate per hour and type 280, and tap Add labour. Set default rates keeps them for next time.
  4. Tap Convert to invoice and check the labour, parts and total.
  5. Tap Create draft invoice. Nothing is sent: review and send it from Invoicing.
